We often meet a lot of people that are special because of their character and ethical values. We need that kind of people in order to look up to them. That is why many people have their role models such as singers, football players, actors etc. But I am not one of them. This is because I do not see the point in admiring people that do not do anything good for us.
Now let,s get to the point. The person I look up to is my grandfather. To me he is a real exception because of his character. Although I do not remember him very much I can hear a lot of stories about him from my parents. According to my mother,s stories he was a very hard-working man. He used to get up very early and he never complained about that. His job was to deliver beer across the country. As a very easy-going person he was able to communicate with every man he had met. In the neighbourhood he was very appreciated because of his kindness and ability to help other people. He was very good at manual work and he used to help the neighbours in building houses, roofs, walls. I think he was special because he had huge respect to women. That is why I think that I should use him as an example of good behaviour with women.
He hated drunk people and he was very keen on kicking them out of his house. Although he was very busy, he always managed to find some time to spend with his family. In conversation with other people he was always tactful. He simply knew how to fight for his interests or interests of our family. Thanks to his good relationships with other people our family was always very respectable. While my father, uncle and other men from our family were sometimes shy and insecure in communicating with other people my grandfather was always a person that could leave a good impression. The most important thing about him is that he had never underestimated other people or their achievements but he also appreciated his own. He had also an amazing competitive spirit. He used to compete with some neighbours, for example who is going to chop the wood first, or who is going to collect the apples that had fallen down from the tree. To me the most amazing thing about him was that he never hated anyone. He never asked  questions about someone,s ethnicity. The only thing that mattered to him was the character of the man he dealt with.
I think that I as his grandson can learn from him how to be self-confident and also how to appreciate my work. As a conclusion I can say that he showed me the way I need to go and because of that I can say that he was a very exceptional person.
